So, today I went to change Lilly into her outfit for the day and saw all the hats that we have for her that she never wears. I think it seems like such a good idea when your in the store buying a cute outfit and there is a matching hat to get it, but in the end I usually up put her in just the outfit and the never the hat. Its not that I forget, although sometimes I do, but it just never stays on her or ends up covering her eyes, falling off during some part of the day, or just irritating her. So... today is crazy hat day. I decided to take some of the hats we have for her and doing a fashion show of hats.

Rolling over
Some more big Lilly news for everyone. She rolled over for the 1st time yesterday!!! I think she was so mad about doing tummy time that she found a way to kick off and get back on her back. I cant believe how strong she is...the way she is going she will be walking soon.
She has out grown most of her 0-3 month clothes, so she is wearing her 3-6 month sizes now...I have forgotten how many cute outfits everyone bought her!
Also, I think she is teething now...its a little early, but she is showing all the signs. http://www.whattoexpect.com/first-year/teething/teething-symptoms.aspx. She completely covers herself in drool, she is cranky (although that's nothing new.. lol), she is waking up in the middle of the night more often than usual, and she is biting down on anything she can get in her mouth (which is horrible for her breast-feeding mother!).
Although she still has her cranky days, she is having more good days. She has been laughing more, but its usually a squeal more than a laugh. I think she has forgotten how she did it the 1st time and has gone back to her big smiles.
I cant believe how many diapers we go through, I definatley feel bad about the amount that we use. I was thinking about doing the flush able ones I found out about through my friend Lynn http://www.gdiapers.com/ . It seems like such a good idea and don't seem to be too expensive. Plus they help out the environment. :)
Mike and I only have 5 more days till we go back to California to visit with his family! We are very excited to see everyone and cant wait for them to see how big Lilly is.

something new
Thought I'd put up something new for everyone to see...
Last Friday we went to Lynn and Sam's neighbors house for a Christmas party. Lilly got to go too and everyone commented on how cute she is! It was nice to get out of the house and dress up for a change.. since Lilly doesn't really care what I wear I usually don't try to impress her to much (especially since she will usually just spit up on me anyhow). The party was really nice, I cant believe how many people were in the house.. they invited over 100 people!

It snowed a couple of times out here now.. last week Mike got his 1st "driving in the snow" experience. He did pretty good, the truck is still in one piece. Its weird out in Colorado, one day its 60 out and the next its in the 20's...needless to say the snow doesn't last long once it comes.
Lilly turned 3 months old on the 5th! It is so crazy how big she has gotten in just 3 months...I remember right when we got out of the hospital thinking she was so small in the car seat, now she fits perfectly. Lilly has only laughed a couple of times since the mirror laugh...everyone here thought I was making it up for a while. She is getting really strong and lifting up her head pretty good during tummy time. She still seems to be in her colic stage, but I'm sure she will get out of it soon...hopefully! She does seem to have more good days lately though. I just want to hear more of the laughing Lilly. Hopefully I will be able to get that on a video soon for everyone to see.

Mike and I are really looking forward to going back to California on the 18th! Lilly's Grandma Cindy (Mikes mom) bought us plane tickets back for Christmas! She is the BEST! I know Mike misses all his family a lot and so do I, so we are counting down the days. I am also planning a trip out to my home town in Minnesota around March sometime. I cant wait for my family to see Lilly, my dad hasn't seen her yet and I know he is going to spoil her rotten! I am hoping to get Lilly baptized out there too.
Well that's all for now..

Lillys Laugh
So, Big news today. Lilly found herself in the mirror today and laughed! She thought it was the funnest thing she had ever seen. It was one of those laughs that last a while and she had to stop and take a breath before starting again, it was the best sound i have ever heard. She also did some of the usual daily activities including, tummy time, sit-ups, spiting up on mom (her favorite), going into her jumper, and eating her fingers (her other favorite).
Last night we all went to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (it was a Christmas present from Lynn and Sam) and it was such a great show. Lilly got to stay home with Barbara, one of Lynn's co-workers. I felt so bad leaving her... not only because I always want to be with her, but because she got into one of her "great" moods right before we were leaving. So I am so thankful to Barbara for sticking it though, and she even got her to take some formula!!!
So that is all for today, looking forward to putting more of Lilly's big break through's!

First post
Hello everyone. Thanks to my dear friend Lynn, Mike and I finally got a blog started up. So, in this first entry of ours I will try to get everyone caught up. I was out in California for about 10 years and in the last 2 of those 10 I met Mike, got pregnant, had Lilly Rose Gisbert, and moved to Colorado (I don't know why I didn't try to space that out a little better, but that's the way life goes sometimes). So, thanks to Lynn (once again) and Sam, we are staying with them in their beautiful home in Colorado. I met Lynn out in Cali and I am so glad I did because she one of the greatest people I know! Her and Sam moved out to Colorado about 2 1/2 years ago. They have two enormous dogs (Pepper and Halie) who Lilly seems to enjoy looking at. Halie loves Lilly and is a little protective of her, the other day I think she got mad at the jumper thinking it was hurting lilly in some way, so she starting barking at it or Mike (telling him to take her out). It is very pretty out here, we are able to go outside and see the mountains everyday. It is a bit chilly right now, but since I grew up in Minnesota I definitely know cold and this is nothing compared to out there. I am a stay at home mom for now... I'
m not sure how long I will be able to do it, but I'm loving the time I get to see Lilly grow.

Lilly is the love of my life.. along with Mike of course. She is growing so fast and she is only 3 months old (ok not until Dec 5th, but still). She is a little colicky, which is keeping Mike and I on our toes. Everyone tells us that kids that are colicky turn out to be very smart, which is a good thing because once she gets to be older and makes all kinds of money she can buy her momma a good home to go crazy in. She is not doing much lately, but I can tell she is getting frustrated with just sleeping, eating, and getting nice dirty diapers for mom and dad to change. She loves morning time, bath time, and getting car rides. She has just experienced her 1st snow yesterday...she didn't seem too amused but I think Mike liked it (since he hasn't seen to much of it growing up in Cali).

Mike is doing well. He is trying to get used to the Colorado living. I think he finally realized he cant wear shorts and flip flops the whole year round anymore (I even caught him in a beanie today!). It is hard for him because he misses his son Sean terribly, but he is very excited to go home to visit in December. Sean is his 3 year old son from a previous relationship. He is the cutest little boy who loves spider man, the silver surfer, and candy. He is the best big brother to Lilly too. I cant wait to go back to California again so we can see him.

I will try my best to continue to keep this thing up and everyone informed on our lives out here. So goodbye for today.
oh.. btw.. GO VIKINGS! (they play the Bears tonight!)
