Sean is here!!

Hi everyone!
Sean is finally here. He arrived on Thursday the 19th and will be here until the 3rd. We are having a great time so far. We have gone to a couple of different parks, trying once to fly a kite. I don't know know if its really as difficult as it seemed to us, but we never did get it up in the air. It could be because we only spent a $1 on it... maybe we should have sprung for the $5 one.

We also went to the Denver Zoo, which was really nice. There was hardly anyone there and it was such a beautiful day out. We got to see the brand new baby Giraffe (along with all the other animals), ride on the carousel, and just walk around with the kids.

Another fun thing Sean and I did was make M & M cookies. mmmmm. I got this great kids baking kit for him that had an apron, rolling pin, measuring spoons, cookie cutters, egg whisk, wooden spoon, and baking pans. It was so cute and he had a blast with it. The cookies actually turned out really good too.

He is so good with Lilly. He is always asking if he can help with her... he is such a good big brother. She is so interested in him too...she thinks he is funny.

Oh..and Sean got to see snow for the 1st time too! It was very exciting. I tried to get the whole thing on video, but its a little hard to see it since it was so dark out. You can still hear the excitment of the experience though. I had to run into the room when Mike was putting Sean to sleep and bring them outside. Sean was in his pjs and was running around trying to get some clothes on to go out in the snow. He ended up on the deck on his hands and knees trying to sweep all the snow off.

This weekend we are planning on going to the movie Monsters Vs. Aliens with him and going to the aquarium. Hopefully I can get some good pics and post them next week. So until then....

Breckenridge Visit

Thanks to Auntie Lynn, Lilly and I got to see Breckenridge this past Saturday. http://www.townofbreckenridge.com/index.aspx?page=368 It was a cute little town with tons of shops and gorgeous scenery. There was a bunch of skiiers and snowboards walking through the town, which has the lift right in the middle of town.
We walked around looking at the town and taking some pictures then we went and had lunch at an irish pub. Lilly got a little fussy during lunch, but other than that she did very well. Lynn took Lilly in the baby bjorn and gave my back a break which was nice. I think I would gain a ton of weight if I lived in that town.. there was tons of great smelling food all over. I ended up buying some cookies that were delicious! I also bought lilly a cute little Breckenridge sweatshirt! If I wasn't so out of shape I think we would have stayed longer, but we still had a great time and I would definatley go back.

Update

Its been a while since Ive done an update, so I will catch everyone up on whats been going on. Lilly has been doing well. Lilly is still using mom as her primary food source, but we also feed her around 5 every night with her cereal or oatmeal and one baby food that we change up every 4 days (just to make sure she doesn't have a reaction to it). Right now we are on apple sauce and she seems to love it.
We thought she had an ear infection because she grabs at her ear all the time, but the doctor checked her out and said she was fine. I guess she just found her ear interesting at this time, and I might be a overly protective mom too. She has been interested in a lot more things too... she loves when I have ice water and insists on taking a sip every time I do, and apparently dads beer too (don't worry we don't let her sip on that though).

Lilly still loves her jumper, and if she is not sitting on someones lap is usually in there. We got her a baby video which I just started playing that for her. She seems to like watching that and sometimes falls asleep to it. I have also been taking her on walks around the neighborhood (if its nice out), which breaks up the day and gives her some new things to look at (and it gives mom some MUCH NEEDED exercise too!). Oh... and she has now rolled over from her back to her stomach (she used to only know how to roll from her stomach to her back).
Thanks to Lynn, Mike and I got a date night last Friday, while Lilly stayed with auntie Lynn. She was very good according to Lynn, but she could be lying to make me feel better :).
We are anxiously awaiting Lilly's brother Sean to come and visit us here in Colorado. Mike is going to fly back to San Diego to pick him up on the 18th of this month and he gets to stay with us until the 3rd of March. We are really excited to see him and show him around here. He has never seen snow, so we are going to take him sledding for the 1st time too!
We also are very excited for our trip to Minnesota in March. Lilly and I leave on the 18th-30th, and Mike will meet us out there on the 26th. Lilly will get to finally meet my family and also get baptised.
