Hello everyone.
Lilly is doing great these days. She is now waving "hello" and "goodbye" to people; although, she is still trying to get the wave thing down.. right now it looks more like a karate chop. She is also getting better at walking...she still is working on it, but she is getting there.
Mike, Lilly, and I are getting ready to take yet another trip out to California and Minnesota too. We leave to California on the 27th of this month. I will be leaving California to head to Minnesota on the 15th of August...Mike will be joining us on the 28th, then we come back to Colorado on the 6th of September. Lilly definitely needs to get frequent flyer miles! A special thank you to my dad for helping out! Thanks dad!!!! We love you!

Happy 4th of July!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th. We actually ended up celebrating it on the 3rd, because they had a huge firework show in Lynn & Sam's neighborhood the day before. Sam's family was in town for his sisters softball tournament, so they also came over to the house. We had a big bbq dinner with a great potato salad Lynn made (I don't usually like potato salad, so this is a big deal!). Then we all went out in the front yard to watch the firework show. It was really good, but Lilly didn't care for it too much. She likes the lights, but as soon as the big "BOOM" comes, she started crying...but it was also way past her bedtime. Oh, and I have to say, she did look super cute in the dress grandma Cindy got her (thank you again).

Country Jam

Hello everyone. Lilly and I are back from our Country Jam adventure with Lynn and her mom and we had a wonderful time. We left on Thursday and took the long 4 hour drive out to Grand Junction. Lilly was ok in the car ride out there, but started to get fussy during the last hour. I decided to pass on the 1st day, so Lynn and her mom went without us while we stayed at the hotel and ordered pizza. Friday we all got ready and headed out there to see Big & Rich with Cowboy Troy, Jason Aldean, Phil Vassar, and Cross Canadian Ragweed. It ended up raining a bit while we were there, but we all huddled under one big umbrella waiting for it to pass and Lilly slept through it. I ended up leaving a little early because Lilly couldn't fall asleep and was pretty cranky, but she crashed as soon as we got back to the hotel. Saturday was very hot and sunny, so we all lathered up in our sunscreen and went to see Randy Owen, Clay Walker, Neal McCoy, Bucky Covington, and Locash Cowboys. We set up Lilly's playpen and had a big umbrella over it, so it was prefect shade for her. We had these great spray bottles that Laurie (Lynn's mom) brought that were awesome! We sprayed Lilly and ourselves many times. Lilly ended up falling asleep around 9 this night and slept through the music and all the screaming people! Sunday we woke up a little tired from the previous days and were a little slow getting ready.. or maybe it was just me. It was another hot one out, so I decided to take Lilly for a dip in the hotel pool before we headed out to the concert. She loves the pool! Then, we all got ready again and went to see Montgomery Gentry, Blake Shelton (Lynn's pretend husband), Luke Bryan, Heidi Newfield, and Randy Rogers Band. Lilly was really good this day too, at least up until bedtime, then she had enough. She couldn't fall asleep this time and didn't end up going down till we got back to the hotel. We all woke up early Monday morning ready for the long trip home. Lilly did great on the way back, sleeping most of the way. Overall, good time, great company, and great music.. I couldn't have asked for better! I also want to take the time to say "Thank You!" to Laurie and Lynn. They are just wonderful people who continue to amaze me with their generosity, love, and kindness. Lilly and I love you both.
