Hello everyone! Just a small update on how Lilly is these days..
She is now eating sweet potatoes.. and she likes them as much as bananas. I wish I could say the same for the carrots, but those did not seem to go over as well. Next week I think we are going to try some peas.
She is so much different from back in the colicky days. She is happier and seems content with just hanging out by herself at times. Its funny, I will say to Mike, "look at her!" and he responds with, "she's not doing anything... she is just sitting there." and I say, "I know.. isn't it great!"
Some of the things she loves are morning time, her jumper, and when we sing to her (which is not a pleasant thing to hear, but she likes it).
We are looking forward to our trip to Minnesota, thanks to my dad. We are going back to get Lilly baptised and spend some time with my side of the family, who she has not seen yet. I know my dad (grandpa) is so excited to see her, he calls me everyday just to make sure I put something on this blog. He also wants Lilly's 1st word to be grandpa. My mom (grandma) has also bought more clothes for her.. I have a feeling that we are going to have an extra bag for the trip back to Colorado. Lilly will also get to see Lady (our dog that we had to give my parents) again... hopefully this time Lady will not be as scared as she was the 1st time she saw Lilly.
well..until next time :)

Finally a new post!

Sorry everyone for the long delay. There is much to say and lots of pictures to post.
So.. We all went back to California for the holidays and it was wonderful, it was so great to see Mikes family again! As soon as we got in we got to pick up Sean! We ended up getting him the whole time we were out there, which was great! He is so sweet with his baby sister Lilly... he really takes care of her and loves her very much. We ended up staying with Mikes mom Cindy, who is unbelievable! She had about 5 parties while we were there, managed to clean up after all those parties, gave me and Mike a night out while she watched the kids, finished her Christmas shopping, continued to work at her job, and put up with all of us at the same time! She also decorates the house like Santa's workshop and the tree is so beautiful and is full of ornaments she has been collecting over the years. Oh.. and Katie, Mikes sister, was so nice and basically slept on the couch the whole time we were there so Lilly and I could have her room.
Christmas was great.. Mikes mom had her whole family come down (it was so great to see everyone) and we had a great dinner and exchanged gifts. We also got to have dinner and exchange gifts with Mikes Dad, Karen, and Meme and Pepe (Mikes grandparents). Pepe makes the best pizza and Meme makes her famous gnocchi's, it was delicious. Karen also made everyone dinner which was great! It was so nice spending time with everyone. Mel came down to see us a couple of times too, which was nice.. its a bit of a drive so it was nice to get to see her a little bit while we were there.
We ended up staying longer than planned because I ended up getting sick, which worked out fine with us. We also got to spend New years with everyone, even though Lilly and I never made it to midnight :). Although we got to stay longer the time still seemed to fly by and there were some friends I never got a chance to go see :( (sorry).
It was very hard to leave everyone back in California, but the time had come to leave. We ended up with a couple extra bags from all the wonderful gifts from everyone, so it was a little harder to get through the airport with them all. We actually ended up missing the flight and getting on standby. We finally got in about 4 hours late, but we made it.. and so did my coffeepot I got from Mike for Christmas (long story).
So, here we are again in Colorado. Lilly is doing great! She ended up starting to eat rice cereal , with some help from her big brother Sean, while we were visiting family in California, and loves it. She is now on to bananas...which I thought was a little early, but according to her doctor is fine. So, once a week she gets to try a new food... how exciting! I continue to give her tummy time, which doesn't last long because she usually flips right over to her back. But, she doesn't know how to go from her back to tummy yet. I cant believe how much she has grown! She went to the doctor for her 4 month visit on the 13th of this month. We were told she is now 14 pounds 8 oz. and is 24 3/4" long. She got a little cranky from her shots, but is doing well today. I will try to get a new video for everyone to see, but for now just the info and some pictures. :)
